Print Design
Right out of college, I was a prepress technician in a print shop. This was back before digital printing - everything needed to print to film before it could be printed to paper.
It made me really good at troubleshooting software, hardware and printers - and it laid the foundation for my understanding of good design.
Since then I have designed logos, postcards, policy briefs, business cards, programs, invitations, posters and all kinds of Microsoft Office templates. I have worked with every program in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Because of my nonprofit background, I know how to design products that are inexpensive to print. Because of my development background, I know how to efficiently and effectively publish items to the Web.
